High Speed Support

Support for RC DSL, RC Wireless, RC WildBlue

The following are instructions on what high-speed subscribers should do in outage situations or find inability to surf:

  • If you lose connectivity, check to make sure the power light on the modem is solid green...checking ALL modem and phone line connections If the power light is green, disconnect the power from modem at the power source (for example, the wall outlet or surge suppressor).

Wildblue subscribers-DO NOT disconnect the power at the back of the modem.

Westel, Speed Stream, Arris and Navini can disconnect the power from the back of the modem.

  • Leave the power off for five minutes. After five minutes, reconnect the power at the power source.

DSL, Wireless - Depending on your modem type, when your ready light or DSL light or Online light is solid green, you should be able to start surfing. This may take a few minutes. WILDBLUE -You are ready to begin browsing again when the lights for power (the top light), receive (second from top) and network (fourth from top) are solid. This may take a minute or two.

ROUTERS...if you have a router in place, this must also be reset. If you cannot connect, please follow these steps again.

If the modem does not connect after a second try, call RC toll free 1 800 256 6854 or for RC telephone subscribers, dial 611.

Navini Wireless - Milbank Tower

Verify that the LAN connection is ENABLED and that the the browser is ONLINE (Internet Exploer -under File - Work offine SHOULD NOT be checked)

  • Shut computer down
  • Power off the modem (button on front) and the unplug router - all lights should be off
  • Power on the navini modem, plug in router - turn computer back on

If quality and signal are good on the Navini modem, the router settings may have been reset -especially if there was a power surge or outage.  Navini's setup requires Static IP configuration on the modem.  Each Navini wireless subscriber has a static Ip setup on the router. If that static IP configuration is no longer available on the router, you may have to call RC' main office to get your Static Ip, assigned to your account.
